On the occasion of the 16th International Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennale, in collaboration with the architect Mario Cucinella's MCArchitects studio and the MoDus Architects studio, MUMO perfumed the Italian Pavilion with its first creation dedicated to the aromas and woodland atmospheres of the Sibillini Mountains.
Camerino was the first city in Italy to have an olfactory brand and a dedicated sensorial path set up in the main public buildings. The fragrance was created by studying the botanical varieties typical of the Apennines and the Sibillini Mountains National Park: a journey to discover the aromatic herbs and rare local flowers of the area.
On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the composition of the lyric poem "L'Infinito", MUMO Sensory Emotions, in collaboration with the Reggia of the Venaria Reale royal palace, created a sensorial tribute dedicated to the poet. Through dance, the music of Max Richter, and the voice of Vittorio Gassman, some of the most famous Leopardi compositions were staged, all accompanied by the olfactory notes created by taking inspiration from the splendid gardens of the Leopardi house in Recanati. At the end of the artistic performance, each guest was called to leave a mark, a color, an expression of their mood on a canvas.
On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci's death, MUMO Sensory Emotions in collaboration with the Reggia of the Venaria Reale royal palace, set up a sensorial sampling itinerary dedicated to the genius of the Renaissance. By combining olfactory ingredients with each of Leonardo's artistic works and inventions, each guest was able to create a personalized fragrance to take home.
A sensory project conceived for Grottini Retail Environments: a path in which the customer is welcomed by olfactory sensations specially designed to arouse certain moods. The four fragrances correspond to four different sensations of energy and well-being. Each note was structured on a common green blend: the olfactory leitmotif at the base of the corporate identity.
Just as the two lovers described by Dante Alighieri in the Divine Comedy remain in a tight eternal embrace, MUMO has created two fragrances inspired by herbs and ingredients used in medieval times, one male and one female, which if vaporized together give life to a third unisex blend. An intense emotional experience that today, by purchasing the two essences in the city of Gradara, allows us to evoke the story of Paolo and Francesca through the fascinating world of smell.
On the occasion of Valentine's Day, on 14 February 2018 Gradara was transformed into an outdoor stage to present the perfumes of Paolo and Francesca, staging one of the most known love stories in the world. A sensorial journey organized along a path inside the historic buildings of the village and the municipal theatre, through sensorial displays and shows.
A delicate accord of precious and refined notes, with voluptuous and intriguing nuances: an amber note built on a labdanum base, heated by accents of benzoin and vanilla, embellished with drops of gray amber. A fragrance that tells of distant times, the rustle of corsets and silk skirts, music, dances, banquets and long walks in the shade of beautiful flower gardens.
This essence was presented in 2016 on the occasion of the Rose Festival with a sensory event organized in the splendid Chapel of Sant’Uberto, inside the Reggia of the Venaria Reale royal palace. Thanks to the artistic performance of Lara Carelli’s TDC company, the ritual of the composition of the essence came to life from a symbolic laboratory set up under the altar, in which the three basic ingredients, through a system of vials, were distilled and flowed into the final fragrance.
Every year, in collaboration with the garden designer and writer Alessandro Magagnini, in the park of the Reggia of the Venaria Reale royal palace, on the occasion of the “King for a day" event, MUMO organized an event dedicated to an emotional sampling involving all five senses. An extravagant tea room set up in the magnificent gardens welcomes visitors and invites them to take a seat among flowers, riddles and garden hats to create their own perfume, letting themselves be guided by intuition, music and the flavour of the aromatic herbs.
In the splendid setting of the Borgo Lanciano Relais, MUMO gifted a sensorial event to friends, institutional and academic personalities, which told the story of the birth of the universe and of life through olfactory arrangements, tastings and artistic performances. Almost all ancient traditions that have handed down a legend of the creation of the world speak of a gradual awakening of the five senses, starting with what Aristotle defines as senses of distance, hearing and sight, passing through the senses of contact, taste and touch, up to the most sublime: the sense of smell.
